Richard Williams forgives Will Smith after the Oscar slap!

The 94th edition of the Academy Awards crowned Will Smith Best Actor for the film King Richard. The American actor masterfully played Richard Williams, father of the two champions Serena and Venus. Will Smith, before receiving the prestigious award, did not like a tasteless joke made by comedian Chris Rock towards his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Smith couldn't keep control and punched Chris Rock in the face after he reached the stage. The images went around the world and the actor's apologies did not convince everyone. "I deeply regret I did something unacceptable. I have tried to contact Chris, but he is not ready to talk to me.

When he is, he will show up,” Smith wrote on his Instagram account.

Richard Williams forgive Will Smith

If at first Richard Williams had shown himself to be very critical of him, a year later he decided to forgive him.

“I think we didn't do the best thing he could do, but I could never be disgusted with Mr. Smith. To tell the truth, I really appreciate it,” the father of the two American legends told the TV show Good Morning Britain.

"The time has come for everyone to forgive Will Smith." Even Serena Williams, several months ago, had clarified her point of view on her story in an interview with Gayle King for CBS Mornings. "I think it was an extraordinary film, which Questlove awarded immediately after, but it was overshadowed by the story.

But I also think I was in a position where I was under great pressure and made terrible mistakes. I'm the type of person who says, 'I've been in this position too. I made a mistake. It's not the end of the world' . We are all imperfect and we are all human."
