And it is precisely from the number one of the Australian Open, director Craig Tiley, that the first enthusiastic words of welcome for Venus Williams arrive: "Venus is not only an incredible player and a fan favorite, but she is also a great role model and a leader of our sport in many ways.
We are delighted to welcome her back to the AOs in January." I have been competing for more than 20 years in this country and the Australian community have always supported me wholeheartedly. It will be an honor to play for the fans again and I look forward to making more memories at this year's tournament." Williams, 42, prolongs the epilogue of her extraordinary career again and again by participating in the upcoming 2023 Australian Open.
