Zendaya will play Tashi in the upcoming film Challengers, a tennis player turned coach who looks after the career of her husband Art (Faist). When he finds himself facing a losing streak and a really bad moment as a professional athlete, the young man is forced to clash with his childhood friend and ex-boyfriend Patrick (O'Connor), creating an intriguing love triangle with some queer nuances.

Principal shooting began on May 3 in Boston, where a casting was also held open to local residents for an audition. The opportunity for some was to be able to play tennis players on the set, to be general extras and stand-ins.

The recordings were held in the Back Bay and East Boston neighborhoods and concluded on June 26th. We will have to wait another few months before the official release of the film. Zendaya was a real protagonist in recen movie years, also thanks to the Marvel character MJ Watson in the Spiderman movies, but also for tv series Euphoria.
