Rafael Nadal on the 'perfect player' for him

Rafael Nadal has shown many times that he is one of the greatest in tennis. The Spaniard, despite his age and problems with onjuries, continues to play at the highest level and does not give up tennis. A few years ago, Nadal was asked what the perfect player is for him, so the Spaniard stated; "As for the reverse, I have to pick Novak Djokovic.

He can defend superbly from that side and attack down the line and across the court, with plenty of options during rallies. I have to pick Roger Federer's forehand as he picks up the ball very early and creates winners from anywhere on the court.

Roger can hit his right hand flat or add spin to it; he is a powerful weapon. Ivo Karlovic's serve is the most powerful opening shot in the game. When Ivo serves well, as it happens in almost every match, the returner cannot create any chance before the tie break.

I would pick myself in the determination segment. I've had the proper resolution throughout my career after all my injuries. I have continued to practice with passion to achieve my goals and fight in every match. Fitness-wise, my pick is Dominic Thiem.

Gael Monfils must be the fastest player, and I think Andy Murray has the best shot selection."

Novak Djokovic

His colleague Novak Djokovic is also a similar type of player: He never gives up, always gives his best, and wants to be at the very top.

An interesting fact is that Novak does not like to be in the center of attention. "I don't like that so much to be honest with you, I really don't. I accept it but I don't like it, I don't like seeing myself everywhere. But I know it's part of what I do and part of the success," Djokovic said.

Novak Djokovic's father is his biggest supporter. In the restaurant they own, Novak's parents hold the Novak banner as well as the trophies. His parents are a great motivation for him. "My father particularly likes to show off that his son is successful and everything and I understand that," Djokovic said, adding, "Just above the restaurant that my parents are running, in that building he has a permission I guess to put huge banners of me with different trophies and things that he likes, so you can actually see that from highway coming into the city."
