Dusan Vlahovic, soccer star of Juventus FC, praised the Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic. The great champions of sport, in addition to achieving stratospheric results during their careers, often become a source of inspiration for their fans but, sometimes, also for professionals practicing other disciplines.
This is the case of Novak Djokovic, 20 times Grand Slam champion known for one characteristic above all: mental strength. This is the quality that his countryman Dusan Vlahovic, a young Juventus star, appreciates most of him.
In fact, in an interview with the Telegraph, the Juventus striker praised Djokovic’s talents: "He comes from Serbia and is definitely number one, so I have always admired him. He is a great champion. I want to know more about how he did certain things.
He is very good at mental strength: how he faces certain problems and how he manages to play seven games in a row and overcome seven obstacles to win a Grand Slam," said Vlahovic, showing all his admiration for him.
Djokovic, Ivanisevic's charge ahead of Wimbledon
Goran Ivanisevic explained: "Novak Djokovic will be the main favorite at Wimbledon, as was Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros.
Novak just needs to rest well and prepare physically and mentally for Wimbledon. He has all the credentials to win the title, I have excellent feelings. We have to focus on this now. The fundamental thing for Nole is to recover mentally.
As I've said in the past, Djokovic's mentality is different than most of us. Even though he needs less time than the others to get back to 100%, he now needs to recharge his batteries. He has overcome painful defeats in the past and I am sure that he will arrive in London in the best conditions." The Serbian could only have Wimbledon available to increase his showcase, given that he will hardly be able to fly to New York to compete in the Us Open.
