Jesse Lingard close to signing for Newcastle United

Ralf Rangnick gave the green light Jesse Lingard will be looking forward to the last hours of the transfer period. The Manchester United midfielder hopes that he will finally leave Old Trafford for all time, where they do not trust him again, even though he shone on loan at West Ham last season.

Lingard has six more months of contracts at United and he hopes that he will not finish them. According to England media, a bunch of Premier League players are interested in hiring Lingard by midnight. Newcastle, West Ham, Everton, Tottenham, Leicester and Burnley are interested in bringing in the Red Devils striker.

But he only wants one club - Newcastle! Negotiations have been going on for a long time, and Newcastle recently left them after the insane request of Manchester United to be paid over 14,000,000 euros just for Lingard's loan, plus to take over the entire salary of the player by the end of the season.

Newcastle was willing to pay 3,000,000 euros for the loan plus 2,500,000 euros for the player's salary.

Jesse Lingard and Ralf Rangnick

Lingard held a meeting with Ralf Rangnick this morning and told him he wanted to go to Newcastle after which he got the green light to negotiate with the Magpies.

However, it is still unclear whether United will lower its unrealistic loan requirements. Other interested clubs have less chance. Manchester United do not want to strengthen direct rivals Tottenham and West Ham, while Everton, according to the rules, cannot loan two players from the same club.

And let us remind you that Van de Beek's loan was agreed upon. Leicester and Burnley can't pay more than Newcastle, so United don't have many options either. Manchester United will remain on just three players on the wing, as Martial has left the club, while Greenwood has been penalized by the club for violence against the girl.

There are now Elanga, Sancho and Rashford, and United will have only three wingers available, especially if Lingard leaves the club. There is little time left, and it is certain that both sides hope to finish the job as soon as possible.

Newcastle United have the money, and they probably won't have a problem giving as much as they need They have to stay in the league, and that will be their main goal. They know that they need reinforcements for such a thing, and Lingard could be the right reinforcement for that goal.
