For some time now, there has been a "silent war" on the Munich-Barcelona route. Bayern showed interest in several first-team players of Blaugrana, who reacted to the attempts of the Bavarians to get their players by asking about the services of Sule and a couple of youngsters of the German champion.
A new chapter of tensions between European giants has been opened, again on Bayern's initiative. Namely, the club from the Allianz Arena wants Frenkie de Jong and will try to bring him to the end of the winter transfer window, according to the Spanish news.
It came to light when Bayern tried to interfere in the negotiations between the Catalans and the talented Pedri about the extension of cooperation. Bayern then established contact with Sergio Dest, and they were interested since he was still playing in Ajax.
A counter-attack followed from the Camp Nou, when Barça expressed their desire to sign cooperation with the German national team player Sule, whose contract with the Bavarians expires at the end of the current season.
Barça did not stop there, so they inquired about the "health" of two players from the youth team of the Munich team - offensive midfielder Kenan Yildiz (16) and Croatian striker Gabriel Vidović (18). For now, it remains to be seen, but the most trophy-winning German club is preparing a new offensive.
The Bavarians want Frenkie de Jong, who has previously been associated with Manchester United.
Apparently, they would come to terms with his departure at the Camp Nou without any major problems, aware that they could earn well and at the same time get rid of his high salaries.
The financial situation in Barcelona is still worrying, although the club's management, led by Joan Laporta, has taken numerous steps to consolidate, and even managed to raise money to hire Ferran Torres from Manchester City (55,000,000 euros - in installments).
However, Laporta and his associates still have a lot of work to do to settle their debts and get the club back on its feet. At the same time, they want to remain competitive in Barcelona in Primera, but also on the Euro scene, and they are aware that they need reinforcements.
Therefore, they would agree to part with De Jong without major problems in the case of an offer of 80,000,000 euros, as it was written earlier. It will be difficult for Bayern to single it out, but nothing is excluded, considering that it is seriously interested in the Dutchman.
The midfielder fits perfectly with the idea of Julian Nagelsman, the middle needs fresh blood and there is no doubt that the former Ajax player would be a great reinforcement.
