Milan wanted to return Diogo Dalot but failed to agree with Manchester United on a new loan. That is how they turned to Alessandro Florenzi and are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Roma, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
Right-back of Roma is moving on a new loan. He spent last season in Paris Saint-germain, who still decided not to keep him. Instead of the Italian, PSG brought Achraf Hakimi from Inter for 60,000,000 euros. Jose Mourinho does not count on his services either, so he will leave the club where he grew up again.
He will come to Milan on loan but they will have the opportunity to buy his contract from Roma after the expiration of the short-term cooperation. That right could, under certain circumstances, become an obligation. The Romans wanted to sell the experienced defender, who is contractually bound to the club until the summer of 2023, but in the end, they agreed to let him go according to the mentioned formula, it remains for the two sides to agree on the figure of a possible transfer.
The footballer has agreed to move to the San Siro, he is already thinking about the season in the Rossoneri jersey, and he allegedly wants to give up the number 24, in order to turn over a new leaf.
Summer market
Milan decided for Florenzi because they failed to reach an agreement with Manchester United regarding a new loan for Diogo Dalot.
Red devils demanded 4,000,000 to 5,000,000 euros, which the Rossoneri were not willing to pay. Alvaro Odriozola was also an option, but no common language was found with Real Madrid. Milan have already spent 58,100,000 euros this summer.
They bought Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea for half of that amount, they hired Mike Maignan from Lille for 13,000,000 euros, as well as Balo Toure for 5,000,000 euros. Olivier Giroud was paid a symbolic 1,000,000 euros to Chelsea, while the contract of the talented Sandro Tonalli was bought from Brescia for 6,900,000 euros.
3,000,000 euros have also been set aside for a new loan from Brahim Diaz. They collected only 3,500,000 euros from the sales, which the Rossoneri earned from the departure of Diego Laxalt (Dinamo Moscow), while Hakan Calhanoglu (Inter), Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG), Mario Mandzukic (without the club), and Antonio Donaruma (without the club) left the club as free players. Numerous players have gone on loans like Mattia Caldara (Venice) and Lorenzo Colombo (SPAL).
