Laporta believes Barcelona will be active over the summer

The beginning of Joan Laporta's second presidential term in Barcelona could be significantly similar to the first. The club is on unstable feet again, fans are dissatisfied with bad results, players with a very bad financial situation at the box office.

It is up to the charismatic businessman to take chestnuts out of the fire and try to make a miracle like in the second part of the first decade of the third millennium. On the eve of the 2003 elections, he was not the favorite for the presidency, this March he was almost without real competition, but his expectations are the same - to return Barcelona to its old glory as he knows how.

It is almost impossible to do that with the current financial situation, but Laporta assures that they will be active during the summer. Laporta stated that shortly after he landed at the airport in Barcelona after returning from Madrid, where he saw his futsal team losing the home Super Cup to Inter Movistar (4: 6).

Admittedly, the first man of the club talked about everything, but he unequivocally said that there would be something "good" in the coming months. The Sexta journalist who was on the spot was immediately interested - does that mean that Erling Haaland will be Barcelona's target this summer? "Look, what needs to be done will be done - and it will be very good," was Laporta's response.

Raiola and Haaland's father

In Catalonia, they are relying on Laporta's long-term friendship with Mina Raiola, who was in Barcelona a few weeks ago for a conversation with the club leaders and he was in the company of the Haaland's father: Alf Inge, regarding the possible arrival of Erling Haaland.

However, it is not clear to anyone for now how Barcelona could match other interested clubs when the situation in the box office is alarming, and neither Raiola, nor the Haaland, nor Dortmund, will be too demanding in their financial conditions.

Let us remind you, Raiola aims for Haaland to receive a weekly salary of one million euros, which would be a precedent in European football, while he is asking for big fee's With all that, Dortmund will not let Erling go without compensation of at least 150,000,000 euros, and some claim that even 180,000,000 euros will not be enough ...

The next question was - will Ronald Koeman be fired if he doesn't win the domestic cup? "We just want to play and win," Laporta replied as he walked.
