Lampard is looking for a striker: Haaland will be the first target

With a transfer period in which almost 300,000,000 euros were spent last summer, Frank Lampard (un) consciously destroyed everything he did in his debut season on the Chelsea bench when he launched a whole constellation of talented kids from the club academy into the first team.

From a team with the ambition to give their children more space, Chelsea has again become hungry for express titles and success colored by large sums of pumped money. But there is no going back ... Chelsea's megalomaniacal transfer period is constantly under a loupe and so far it has shown more bad sides than quality sides.

Sword is constantly hanging over Lampard's head due to poor results, and if it weren't for one of the two greatest club legends, he would probably have been crossed out in December. This is how Chelsea continues to build a future around the former winner of the Champions League, Europa League, Premier League ...

And his wish for the summer is, according to the claims of the well-informed journalist David Ornstein from The Athletic portal - a world-class striker. Chelsea sees such in Erling Haaland.

All or nothing

According to Ornstein, Chelsea's intention is to start "all or nothing" in the summer in order to get Haaland's signature.

This clearly means that Chelsea is ready to break the club record for the fourth time in the last four years in the amount of compensation for one player after Alvaro Morata in the summer of 2017 (66,000,000 euros), Kepa Arizabalaga on the last day of the summer transfer window in 2018 (80,000.000 euros) and the purchase of Kai Havertz in September this year from Bayer for an amount that will go to over 80,000,000 euros with all the bonuses.

As you probably already know, Haaland has a contract with Dortmund, which will only have an activated buyout clause in the amount of 75,000,000 euros from the summer of 2022, which means that before that the price could be significantly higher because it is determined by the club.

The mentioned clause was created as a consequence of Borussia's agreement with Halland's agent Mino Raiola, who sees his player as a serious project for the future and material exclusively for the most powerful clubs in Europe.

That is how Dortmund reached Haaland's signature in January last year. Since then, the young Norwegian goal scorer has scored 35 goals in as many games! The interest in Halland is already big. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes that Haaland would be the ideal successor to Karim Benzema and a partner to Kylian Mbappe.
