In recent times, there has been a lot of talk about Erling Haaland and his dissatisfaction with Manchester City. Spanish media increasingly write about the possibility that the Norwegian could leave the English club shortly and continue his football adventure at Real Madrid. Erling Haaland has been linked with Real Madrid for a long time. At a time when the Spanish giant lacks a striker, Haaland would undoubtedly be a great option. It's hard to say that Joselu is not doing a good job, but at this moment, Haaland is a much better option than the Spaniard.

Pep Guardiola spoke about Haaland during a press conference and responded to a journalist's question: Is Erling unhappy in Manchester, and does he plan to leave the club?

“I don’t know, you have to ask the media from Madrid,” Guardiola said, as reported by eurosport.com!

Erling Haaland has been sidelined for a long time due to the injury he had. The Norwegian is one of those strikers who is always eager to play and score goals. When you don't play for a long time, it is natural to feel unhappy. The former Borussia Dortmund player has impressed fans in England with his performances in previous seasons. Many consider Haaland to be currently the best striker in the world. For his manager, the most important thing is that Haaland is happy and motivated to play for the club.

“Maybe they have more info than we have.
We don’t have that feeling that he’s unhappy. He was [unhappy] because he could not play for two months because he was injured but maybe the media from Spain, and especially Madrid, have more information than us.
We cannot say he didn’t adapt quickly [on joining in summer 2022] and he was not fine since he arrived. But we cannot control what people say.
What’s important is that he’s happy. And when he’s unhappy, he will make his decision.”

The Spanish coach emphasized that the Norwegian is one of the most important players in the team, and his absence can be strongly felt. Although Julian Alvarez is a great striker, fans of this club believe that no one can replace the 23-year-old striker.

“The last game against Burnley, every transition, every pass all the players looked at him. I know how important he is for us.
We try to keep our strikers happy and especially him. It will depend on how we play. If we are comfortable and good he will get a lot of balls and after that he will do the rest.”

Kevin De Bruyne's return

Perhaps the happiest news for Manchester City fans is the return of Kevin De Bruyne, widely considered the best player in this team. His creativity has proven crucial in many matches for the club. The outstanding midfielder is motivated to once again help City achieve a treble. The Belgian is the leader of this team, and much is expected from him in the upcoming period.

Pep Guardiola described Kevin De Bruyne as a leader on the field who leads by example. Even though De Bruyne may not speak much before games, his leadership becomes apparent during matches.  The Belgian is not the type of player who likes to stand out and talk a lot. His creativity on the field speaks volumes. Kevin De Bruyne wants to help City overcome the slight crisis they have experienced recently. This team certainly has a good chance of lifting the Premier League trophy once again.

Guardiola talked about the team's history of having diverse characters, and De Bruyne is seen as an important personality in this context. The coach explained that real leadership is evident in how a player handles pressure and competes, and De Bruyne demonstrates this through his actions, motivating others to do the same.

Pep Guardiola believes that Kevin De Bruyne could successfully move into coaching and management after his playing career, similar to Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany.  Kompany, who had the opportunity to play with De Bruyne in the national team and at the club, started his coaching career after retiring. He has shown that he excels in his role. However, many have question marks regarding whether De Bruyne can indeed be a coach and what his ambitions are.

Guardiola expressed confidence in De Bruyne's potential, citing his experiences with top managers and various competitions. He highlighted the demanding nature of these experiences as important lessons in consistently aiming for victory. Guardiola stressed that De Bruyne's future in coaching depends on his passion and aspirations, encouraging him to consider his options given that he is no longer 20 years old.
