Marcus Rashford's reaction after being substituted in the match against Tottenham caused different reactions. Namely, Rashford was visibly frustrated after having to leave the game. Erik ten Hag decided that Rashford had to leave the game. Peter Schmeichel, a former Manchester United player, is happy about the reaction of Marcus. Schmeichel likes to see the players' passion and desire. It is also interesting that Rashford played a solid match, but Erik ten Hag still thought that someone else could give the team more in those moments.

‘The substitution doesn’t make sense to me whatsoever and I was very, very happy to see that reaction,’ Schmeichel said, as quoted by METRO

Schmeichel believes Rashford's reaction is good because some people were starting to wonder if he really wants to play for Manchester United. Seeing Rashford show emotion and frustration after being taken off the field made Schmeichel happy. He also mentioned that Rashford did some good things in the game, like working well with a teammate to create goals. Overall, Schmeichel appreciates Rashford's passion and involvement in the game. When you play for United you have to show passion.

Manchester United fans and their expectations

Manchester United fans hope that Rashford can be the player from last season in the next matches. Marcus impressed everyone last season and it looked as if he will be the main player this year as well. However, things are completely different this season. It is still not clear if there is something that is hindering the progress of this great winger.

United fans cannot be happy with the performances of their team. This season will be a tough fight for the TOP 4. It's hard to be optimistic that this Manchester United team can finish in the TOP 4. If Rashford improves his form and some other individuals, fans can hope for a surprise. The return of Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez will awaken even greater optimism.
