Rumors in the British media these days are that Manchester United star Jadon Sancho is considering returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan this month. The 23-year-old winger's strained relationship with coach Erik ten Haag has fueled speculation about a potential return to the Bundesliga.

Sancho did not play too much at Old Trafford, but he scored 12 goals for United and won the League Cup. Sancho's clash with Ten Haag stems from a social media post in which he labeled himself a "scapegoat" after being kicked out of the team.

The Netherlands coach insisted the young talent's apology will be key to his return, citing a poor performance in training as the reason for his September ban. However, Sancho persistently refused to apologise, leading to his exclusion from team activities and separate training sessions.

Dortmund wants Sancho already in the January transfer window

Having secured Sancho's services for a hefty £73million from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021, Manchester United now face the prospect of the player returning to his former club on loan.

Reports suggest Dortmund are keen to facilitate a return during the January transfer window, expressing optimism that a loan deal could materialise. The Bundesliga club, however, may require Sancho to accept a lower salary as he received a significant pay rise after joining Old Trafford.

A potential return to Germany would see Sancho reunited with familiar surroundings and a club where he previously had a significant impact and was a key player in the team's play. Since his arrival at Manchester United, Sancho has made 82 appearances, scored 12 goals and contributed to the team's success in winning the League Cup.

We will see if the talented winger will indeed return to Borussia Dortmund or continue his journey with the Red Devils. Now it is most likely that he will have to change the midfield, the coach does not count on him, he does not seem to want to play, so moving to the Bundesliga is perhaps the only realistic option.
