Donny van de Beek, the midfielder from Manchester United, has finalized a loan move to Bundesliga's Eintracht Frankfurt for the rest of the 2023/24 season. Upon his arrival at Manchester United in August 2020, the Dutchman, despite high expectations, failed to fulfill his potential. The transfer fee was worth 35 million pounds, with an additional 5 million pounds in bonuses. Unfortunately, his three-year adventure at Manchester United was marked by frequent injuries, which greatly held back his ability to reach his expected level of performance.  Erik ten Hag believes that Donny van de Beek has a chance to show his qualities at the German club. Frankfurt is a great environment for the development of players, and van de Beek knows that well, as does Erik ten Hag. Manchester United confirmed this information via social media and wished van de Beek luck in his new club.

Donny van de Beek and his career

Donny van de Beek was one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe when he played for Ajax.

The great generation of Ajax led by Erik ten Hag is now just a memory. Many of the players who made up the skeleton of the team left the club and went to big European clubs. Manchester United fans expected much more from Donny van de Beek and believed that the Dutchman could be a key player in the midfield of the club from Old Trafford. Van de Beek also had a short adventure in Everton, which was not so successful. Maybe going to the German club will turn out to be a great move. The Dutchman should get minutes in this club and thus potentially arouse the interest of other clubs again.
