Many believe that the current season in the Premier League is one of the most interesting. It seems that the fight for the trophy has never been more interesting, and at the moment three teams stand out as the main candidates for the title: Arsenal, Manchester City, as well as Liverpool. Even though Aston Villa is close to them in terms of points, football fans are not optimistic that this can happen. The summer transfers also aroused great interest, and even before the start of the season, forecasts began as to who could fulfill expectations and who could disappoint. Speaking to TNT Sports, Jermaine Jenas revealed who, according to him, has so far met expectations most when looking at the summer signings. Jenas has two names in his head.

“I’m looking at Declan Rice, it’s difficult to ignore Declan Rice and [William] Saliba,” Jenas told TNT Sports, as per!

“I think Declan Rice in particular, his contribution, big fee on his head, a lot of pressure, a lot of eyeballs looking at him and how he’s going to deliver.
I think if we’re looking at his performance from mid-season to now, he’s a difficult one to top.”

Rio Ferdinand reacts

The Manchester United legend had the same opinion. Looking at the performances this season, Ferdinand does not doubt that Declan Rice is the best summer signing. The influence he has on the team and the game is visible from day one. Mikel Arteta did a great job signing this great footballer.

Rio Ferdinand highlighted the significant impact Declan has made on the team, underlining the £100m price tag and questioning if anyone else has had a more substantial impact.

In recent years, Arsenal's signings have been impressive, boosting the confidence of Arteta's management among fans of the club.
