Steve Cooper has been sacked as manager of Nottingham Forrest. Although Cooper helped the team secure promotion from the Championship to the Premier League, recent bad results influenced the leaders of this club to make such a decision. Owner Evangelos Marinakis is still grateful to Cooper for everything he did for the club. Reactions among fans are mixed. While on the one hand, we have those who wanted Cooper to leave the club, some believe that Cooper should have been given more chances.

"Everyone at Nottingham Forest would like to thank Steve for his superb contribution to our football club. His achievement in guiding Forest back to the Premier League will undoubtedly remain an iconic moment in the club’s history. We thank Steve for his dedication and commitment during his time with us, as well as the incredible connection he forged with our supporters and the city of Nottingham. Steve will always remain a friend of the club and will forever be welcome at The City Ground. We wish him well in his future endeavours."-Marinakis said.

Nuno Espirito Santo

Not long after, the club confirmed that Nuno Espirito Santo would become the new manager of Nottingham Forrest. His experience in the Premier League and great results with Wolverhampton in the past influenced Nottingham Forrest chiefs to sign the Portuguese coach. Espirito Santo will have a tough task to help Nottingham Forrest stay in the Premier League. Many believe that the Portuguese expert can be key to the goals of this club in the coming period. The question is whether he can really succeed.

Nuno Espirito Santo did not make a name for himself at Al Ittihad and after a series of poor results, the club decided to terminate cooperation with him. Espirito Santo also had the opportunity to lead Tottenham, but not very successfully. This will be a great chance to prove to the leaders of the previous clubs that they made a mistake.
