Jose Mourinho, manager of AS Roma, was remembered for his successes in many clubs where he was a coach. One of the more interesting adventures of the Portuguese manager is the one at Manchester United. Although United was not great even then, it can be said that Mourinho, looking at his predecessors and those after him, may have done the best job at the club. However, after leaving the club, Mourinho criticized the club's management, as well as individuals within the team. In a recent interview, the Portuguese manager reflected on the current situation in Manchester.

"There are still people in that club, and when I say people I mean some players but also some other people that are not players, that are still there when I told [United] after two months: 'With these people, you are never going to do it.' And they are still there," he said, as quoted by eurosport.com!

Mourinho, looking back on his time at Manchester United, had to laugh.

"At Manchester United, I changed a player at half-time... his agent was then accusing me of bullying. I had to change. I remember these times, and I laugh about these times, but it's different times."

Jose Mourinho on Manchester United fans

The Portuguese still has huge respect and love for a club like Manchester United, even though he failed to make a big success. He is happy that the fans recognized how hard he worked to create a strong team.

"The fans know how much I love the club and I went there [Old Trafford] once with Sky, I was in the box and the whole stadium turned to me applauding and singing for me.
If that happens when I go to Inter, Madrid, Porto or Chelsea, you say, 'okay this is because of everything we won'.
But when you got to Man United, a club with that history and they do that for a coach, who won a Europa League, a cup, a second position and a Charity Shield, you arrive at the conclusion they know that I gave everything that I could."
