Belgian pride and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is struggling with personal and professional challenges. A recent incident involving a break-in at his Belgian villa has added to the soccer player's woes, overshadowing his trip to Saudi Arabia for the Club World Cup with Manchester City.

The Daily Mail reports that chaos ensued in De Bruyne's absence when thieves targeted his villa in Belgium over the weekend. The break-in, which is believed to have taken place on Saturday, saw intruders using a ladder to gain access to the first floor.

The entire family weekend left the property vulnerable and the incident was caught on surveillance cameras, although the footage remains unreleased due to the ongoing investigation. De Bruyne, who bought the property in 2015 and completed it in 2019, uses it primarily during his visits to Belgium.

The villa, with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and basketball court, testifies to the success and taste of football players, built from natural white stone.

Salah and De Bruyne before the transfer to Saudi Arabia

Meanwhile, amid personal turmoil, rumors about De Bruyne's future in soccer are gaining traction.

Michael Emenalo, the former Nigerian international and alleged Saudi Pro League transfer boss, claims De Bruyne is next in line for a move to Saudi Arabia. Emenalo boldly claims: "Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are next. As soon as possible, we are ready to listen to them and negotiate with them to come to Saudi Arabia." Salah will find it difficult to leave Liverpool regardless of the Arabs offering big money, while the situation with De Bruyne is much different.

He is close to leaving City and it looks like that will happen soon. De Bruyne, who has been an integral part of Manchester City for eight years, has faced setbacks of late, including ongoing injury problems. Despite being regarded as one of the best players in the world, the 32-year-old has struggled with fitness, making just one Premier League appearance this season. Speculations surrounding a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia further make De Bruyne's future uncertain.
