Mikel Arteta is doing a great job so far, and he can be happy after another win for Arsenal. The London team managed to beat Brighton 2-0. His team is 5 points ahead of Manchester City, which is the main favorite to win the title. Arteta, however, does not pay too much attention to it.

"I think it’s irrelevant at the moment. There’s still a long, long way to go.
Every game is just a huge battle between two teams. It doesn’t matter who you’re playing against.
We all suffer and we all have to dig really deep to win games. There’s no exception here. It’s the same for us."

Mikel Arteta on Brighton

The Spanish manager was delighted with the way his team played against Brighton, who look great this season.

"It was an incredible performance. The way we played against an incredible Brighton side, it’s just phenomenal. I’m so proud of the players and how we played. We kept going and believing and we had a really good afternoon."

Brighton is a tough obstacle for everyone this season. Looking at their team, many individuals can make a difference. Arteta has analyzed their games well this season and set up his team really well.

"They are a really dangerous team. They have the ability to score. They’re extremely well coached. They have really good individuals and a really good understanding. For the performance that we had, I think we should be really proud."

Arsenal lacked consistency in previous seasons. This is the aspect on which Arteta believes that his team must work the most.

"All we have to do is keep performing like this, keep acting and behaving the way we do on that pitch with every single goal.
It’s a joy to play with this crowd as well. It makes such a huge impact and difference for the team. We just keep going."
