Kylian Mbappe was the hero of his team after he scored a goal from the penalty spot in the last minutes of the match and brought his team a draw. After the match, the Frenchman commented on the performance of his team. PSG dominated during the match, but their execution was not at a satisfactory level.
Mbappe is angry about it. He believes that his team must be more efficient in the next matches. “I tried to be on my best level every night, to be important for my national team and club. It's my job to score goals and help the guys,” he told TNT Sports, as quoted by eurosport.com!
Kylian Mbappe: I could've helped my team more
The young Frenchman blames himself because he had to score goals. However, looking at his performance this season and the previous one, PSG fans have no right to be angry with the team's best player.
“I could've helped my team more though because I had many chances and I didn't score more goals tonight.
You've seen in many Champions League games that you have to score when you get the opportunities.
We had nine or 10 clear chances and we don't score.
If we play like this in Dortmund and score good goals, we'll be okay”. Mbappe is trying to be optimistic and believes that his team can correct its shortcomings in the next matches. PSG looks like a compact team that can really make a success this season.
“We had so many chances, normally you have to win," -Mbappe continued.
"But in football you can be better in the game and not score and not win, and that’s what happened.
“It’s hard for us but we have another game in Dortmund and we have to win because we want to be top of the group."
