The PSV Eindhoven soccer players delivered a stunning performance this week as they triumphed over the Ajax team on home turf with an impressive scoreline of 5:2 (1:2). This thrilling showdown occurred in the much-anticipated derby match of the 10th round of the Dutch championship.

Unfortunately for Ajax, this defeat has left them languishing at the bottom of the league table with a mere five points to their name. The stars of the match were undoubtedly the players from PSV, particularly the Mexican sensation, Irvin Lozano.

Lozano had a spectacular game, finding the back of the net on three occasions. He scored in the 20th, 60th, and 72nd minutes, displaying his incredible skill and versatility as an attacker. Luk de Jong joined the scoring party with a goal in the 49th minute, while Ismael Saibari added another goal for PSV in the 53rd minute.

On the other side of the pitch, the goals for Ajax were contributed by Branko van den Bomen in the 10th minute and Brian Bobi in the 40th minute. In terms of the league standings, PSV currently occupies the top position with a remarkable 30 points, having secured all 10 victories in the Eredivisie.

Their next challenge will see them host Heracles, where they will look to extend their lead at the summit of the table.

Ayax's last triumph in all competitions dates back to August 24 when they bested Ludogorets

In stark contrast, Ajax's struggles persist, and they find themselves in the unenviable last place in the league, with only five points garnered from eight games.

The Amsterdam-based club will now set their sights on their upcoming match against Volendam as they strive to improve their position and form in the championship. Ajax's recent form has been a cause for concern, as they have managed only one victory in the championship and are currently enduring a five-game losing streak.

Their last triumph in all competitions dates back to August 24 when they bested Ludogorets in the qualifiers for the Europa League, securing a convincing 4:1 win. This exhilarating encounter between PSV and Ajax has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on Dutch soccer enthusiasts, further intensifying the age-old rivalry between these two titans of the game.

It remains to be seen how both teams will fare as the season unfolds, with PSV aiming to maintain their dominance and Ajax desperately seeking a resurgence in their fortunes.
