The renowned Brazilian soccer legend, Ronaldinho, was often associated with a vibrant social life in the world of soccer. He held a unique status as the one soccer player whose coaches afforded him a certain level of freedom, allowing him to express himself both on and off the field with astonishing prowess.
His remarkable performances on the pitch were nothing short of miraculous. At one point, Kevin-Prince Boateng found himself caught up in Ronaldinho's magnetic aura and spent a considerable amount of time in his company. However, their friendship eventually took an unexpected turn that had repercussions.
Boateng found himself in a complicated situation when he chose to conceal his late-night escapades with Ronaldinho from his wife. He told her he was going to play poker when, in reality, he was engaging in various adventures with the Brazilian superstar.
The famous Brazilian was synonymous with parties in the world of soccer
Kevin-Prince Boateng has since opened up about the wild nights he shared with Ronaldinho, often stretching into the early hours of the morning. Ronaldinho, an iconic figure in the world of soccer, was renowned for his ability to turn any gathering into a lively celebration, even including his teammates and sometimes the married ones in the revelry.
Boateng's story highlights the irresistible allure of Ronaldinho's exuberant lifestyle, and how it led him to make certain decisions that, in hindsight, he might have handled differently. "I went to parties with him. I would tell my wife I was going to play poker," says Boateng and continues: "Once my phone rang at 4 in the morning.
I saw it was Ronnie and I didn't want to answer because I knew he was probably partying and drunk." His wife persuaded him to come forward. "I turned the volume down so he couldn't hear what he was saying. There was music playing in the background and he asked me where I was? I said 'in bed' and he then yelled, 'Come on, tell your wife you're going to play poker.' the woman found out that I lied to her," said Boateng.
