Last night, the remaining eight matches of the second round of the soccer Champions League were played. We had the opportunity to see many goals and good performances. Barcelona recorded their second victory in the continental competition by defeating Porto with a score of 1:0.

The winning goal was scored by Ferran Torres who came off the bench to replace Polish striker Robert Lewandowski. Barcelona footballer Robert Lewandowski suffered a calf injury during the meeting between the Catalan giants and Porto in the second round of the Champions League group stage.

It is expected that the striker will be out of action for a month and miss at least five matches, including the duel with Real Madrid on October 28. Even in the middle of the first half, the Pole found himself in pain after the start of David Karmo, and the Spanish "Sport" claims that the injury seems more serious after examination than at first.

On the small screens, you could see that it was a serious injury, and Lewandowski was making painful faces. However, no one expected it to be this serious.

The injury is more serious than it seemed at first, the Pole could not play for a long time

Lewandowski was hit in the shin area, and Sport journalist Toni Juanmarti found out that Lewandowski suffered an ankle ligament injury and that the recovery will take more than a month.

In the case of such injuries, it used to happen that players did not play for several months, of course it depends on the degree of the injury and the speed of rehabilitation. Given that the Pole is not so young anymore, this injury could last longer than expected.

It did not take long for Barcelona to issue a statement and confirm that it was a ligament strain, but did not announce how much Xavi would be unable to count on the 34-year-old. Otherwise, when the team does not immediately say how long the player will be absent, it means that it will be very long and that the club is waiting for more positive results in order to come before the public with the exact time.

Lewandowski played 10 matches this season with a performance of six goals and four assists. We hope that the experienced attacker will recover very quickly and that we will soon see him on green fields.
