After the heavy defeat against Bayern Munich, almost all the fans had bad comments about the defensive part of the game. They mostly accuse Lisando Martinez of a bad game in Munich in the first round of this year's Champions League.

And how could they praise him when they conceded four goals and are Manchester United's main problem, because the attack managed to score three goals. Of course, Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand also had to comment.

Their comments were not much different from the fans' comments, even more so they were very angry with many ugly things on account of Lisandro Martinez. It seems that the fans and legends of Manchester United have forgotten that Lisandro carried the defense on his back last season.

At that time, he was a favorite of fans and important people in Manchester United.

‘I’m not sure Martinez is doing with this goal,’ Scholes told TNT Sport while analysing Bayern’s second.

‘He goes backwards, he and Reguilon have one player between them, Reguilon should take that man. Martinez should be getting out to Gnabry who scores that goal. If anything, I think he blocks the goalkeeper’s view.’ Ferdinand added: ‘Martinez is at fault, he should recognise the danger, where the players in the box are.’ At the end, the famous goalkeeper of Manchester United Peter Schmeichel gave his comment on the defensive game, albeit in a slightly bland version.

He said that Lisandro bothered Onana and that was the reason why they conceded a goal.
‘It is kind of what happens at Manchester United at the minute, it is very individual,’ Schmeichel told Premier League Productions.

‘Players, for instance, Martinez here, are trying to be a hero and get in and block. People know this. If we look at him there, he puts himself in a position directly in line of the goalkeeper. ‘He should be closing down rather of just stood up trying to block.

If you want to block, don’t turn your body, stand tall. Clearly things aren’t right for Manchester United.’as quoted by metro.co.uk
