Jeremey Doku is the new player of Manchester City. This young Belgian arrived in Manchester from Rennes. The amount of the transfer is 65 million euros. Doku will be a huge boost for Manchester City. The young Belgian is happy that he will have the opportunity to play in the currently strongest club in the world.

Negotiations took a long time, but in the end, Rennes relented and allowed the young player to leave. The fact that he will cooperate with Pep Guardiola makes him especially happy. “This is a great day for me, both personally and professionally,” Doku said, as quoted by eurosport.com
“Manchester City are the best team in world football, so to be joining them is something very special for me and my family.
I am a young player with so much learning and improving to do.

Working with Pep (Guardiola) and his staff, and playing alongside these world-class players, will make me a much better player. I feel sure of that."

Manchester City achieved the greatest success in the history of the club last season.

Namely, they won the treble, becoming the first club since Manchester United (1999) to do such a feat. Doku hopes that they can do great things this season as well. Judging by the start of the season, City looks like the main competitor for trophies again.

“Watching City last season was amazing. To win the Treble is the hardest thing in football and they did it. You cannot imagine how exciting it is to be joining this team.
I cannot wait to get started. Hopefully I can make the fans happy”.

Pep Guardiola strengthened the team this season and emphasized that he wants to do the same again. This season could bring a lot of excitement, as the Premier League has never been stronger than it is now. Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Tottenham Spurs and even Aston Villa are teams that will present a great danger this season.
