President of Gremio: Luis Suarez is in terrible pain, he will end his career

In the beginning of the year, Luis Suarez made the decision to leave Uruguayan Nacional and sign for Gremio, where he had performed superbly throughout the previous months to the delight of the footballing public. However, just a couple of days ago, everyone was left stunned by the news that Suarez had been forced to end his career because of the terrible pain he is feeling in his knee due to the injuries that he has sustained.

In the past few years, this 36-year-old has been suffering from knee pain, and it appears that he is losing the strength to fight it with the help of his personal trainer. There are growing reports of Suarez ending his career in the near future, but so far, Suarez has not said anything about the matter.

Gremio's president, however, appeared on Brazilian radio and admitted that Suarez was having knee problems, as well as explaining what sorts of test the Uruguayan goes through daily to be able to play football. He then spoke with the local media and explained the hell that Suarez is going through.

Guerra on Luis Suarez

As the club's president, Guerra indicated that he is well aware that Suarez has reached the end of the road in terms of his career, and that the club is prepared for the Uruguayan to announce the end of his brilliant career in the near future.

"Luis Suarez has reached his limit, just to be able to play football he has been giving himself injections every day for some time and going to special treatments because of the terrible pain he has in his knee. These pains do not go away and are constant.

The situation is very serious and we are aware that could be without Suarez," Guerra said. As soon as he arrived at Gremio a year ago, Suarez quickly became a star player, and so far this season, he has been in excellent form, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists for this team in 25 matches.

At one time it was said that the Uruguayan can play alongside Messi once again at Inter Miami, but now it has become clear that this is just a rumour and there will be no such thing as that.
