Christian Atsu was found dead after the earthquake in Turkey

In the wake of the earthquake in Turkey, many were anxiously awaiting news about Christian Atsu, who had been at the scene of the earthquake when it occurred. As much as we hoped for the best and were expecting good news, Christian Atsu was found under the ruins of the Turkish city of Hatay.

Despite the many rumors that have been spread, Nana Sechere, Christian Atsu's agent, has confirmed that Christian Atsu's body has been found. He expressed his condolences to the family and asked that their privacy be respected during this time of great sorrow.

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce to all well-wishers that sadly Christian Atsu's body was recovered this morning,"-Nana Sechere said, as quoted by eurosport.com
"My deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
I ask that whilst we make the necessary arrangements, that everyone would please respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time”.

Atsu's Turkish agent, Murat Uzunmehmet, also confirmed the identical news. "Atsu's lifeless body was found under the rubble," Uzunmehmet said to the reporters.
"Currently, more items are still being taken out. His phone was also found."

Newcastle United

Newcastle United also confirmed the death of the player who wore the Magpie jersey (via social media).

Atsu left a big mark as a player in Newcastle where he spent 5 years. After that, Atsu continued his career in Saudi Arabia, and his last engagement was in Hatayaspor. “We are profoundly saddened to learn that Christian Atsu has tragically lost his life in Turkey's devastating earthquakes,” said Newcastle on social media.
