Angel Di Maria, recent World Champion in Qatar with Argentina and star of Italian club Juventus FC, talked about his club's defeat against Monza in the Italian Serie A match and the difficult moment the club is going through.
Di Maria said: "It's a very difficult moment, we're working and if we played an excellent match against Atalanta today we made too many mistakes. Now we just have to think about the next one. I don't feel the responsibility, I'm just here to help the team.
We have to keep working to avoid the many mistakes. It's difficult to stay focused. Finding yourself in the middle of the table is strange, but we mustn't find excuses and we must try to work to think about the next game which is very important.
It was a horrible first half, we made many individual mistakes. We lost the ball easily, it was a different match than we wanted, now we have to change our mentality, we are Juve. Everything that happened off the pitch cannot be an excuse, we have to reverse the route.
We have to try to get as high as possible: we are far from the Champions League area, but we have two objectives, the Coppa Italia and the Europa League." According to an indiscretion from Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Juventus club has already made the decision on Angel Di Maria's future, and, that's where he will go.
The goal is to lower the general wage bill. The cost of Angel Di Maria is no longer sustainable especially given the current corporate situation. The cut of some substantial salaries could be decisive and in this sense, that of the Argentine could be one of the profiles to be sacrificed.
In compliance also with his will, that of ending his career where it all began. The return to Argentina, therefore, could be a priority for the class of '88. The club that courts him is Rosario Central, his so-called springboard for great football which then launched him in Europe, forming him as one of the best wingers in current history.
The Argentine champion, therefore, will most likely already take charge of this decision which will voluntarily come to that of Juventus who want to reduce the budget.
