Son Heung-min had a great day in yesterday's match against Leicester City, and he scored 3 goals (after coming on in the 2nd half). He has not been in the best form since the beginning of the season and he is frustrated because of that.
Son thinks that he has disappointed the whole team, but everyone knows the qualities of this Korean and what he is capable of. "I always felt like I disappointed the team".
My frustrations are going away."- he said, as quoted by eurosport.com Son had a lot of bad luck at the beginning of the season when he tried his best, but he couldn't show his true form.
3 goals against Leicester can also mean better games from Son and the kind of performances we expect from him. "It was a tough moment and I was really frustrated to be honest. Of course it's the goals as well, but it's the way I played.
I could do much better than what I did.
"The last couple of games and the start of the season... I was disappointed. Of course the team was doing really, really good but individually I was not really, really happy.
I was a little bit unlucky.
I could have scored against West Ham [1-1 draw in August] but he [Thilo Kehrer] scored an own goal.
I hit twice the post and crossbar which is unlucky and I was really disappointed with this. The goal was coming and I was not worried about it."
Heung min Son and fans
He is happy because of the support of the fans who had the patience for him.
Although he was not the best, Tottenham fans knew how important he was to the team and did not forget all that Son gave for the team. "I get emotional to be honest. I always felt like I disappointed the team and I disappointed the crowd," he said.
"Even when I don't score, they were always supporting me.
Every time when I play here and our away games. I'm really glad having this amazing support behind me." Son scored 2 recognizable goals from a long distance. That's something we've seen many times before. It is impressive how he manages to score a goal in difficult situations.
We expect it in the continuation. "I like to shoot in this position. Even when I was a kid. Even now I try to practice from this position."
