Winnipeg Jets won 5:1 vs Boston Bruins. Gabriel Vilardi continued his great form, scoring in the fifth game in a row. This great NHL player showed once again how important he is to the Jets and their future. Winnipeg forward Nino Niederreiter had nothing but praise for his teammate.

“Gabe came in and has been absolutely on fire from on the first line,” Winnipeg forward Nino Niederreiter said, as quoted by NHL!

“They have played 200-foot hockey, and I think the whole team is knowing that if they do it, the whole team is doing it too. … [Vilardi has] been fantastic for us.”

Winnipeg coach Rick Bowness was impressed with the performance of each individual. It looked like the Jets could score at any moment. Their team is fantastic. Bowness believes that this is the standard of the team and that it is necessary to continue like this in the future.

“Regardless of what other people think about us or [how they] measure us, we just measure ourselves against ourselves,” -Bowness said.

“Our standards. This is how we want to play. This is the Winnipeg Jets hockey team. … We believe in ourselves, and that’s all that matters.”

Boston coach Jim Montgomery primarily decided to praise the opposing team, and then criticize his own. Last night's match is the best indicator that Boston has to change a lot of things. With a performance like this, it's hard to be optimistic and hope for big things. Montgomery has a tough task ahead of him. He will have to make a huge effort to sort things out within the team.

“I thought [the Jets] were really good in all facets of their game. I thought the biggest thing is they won 1-on-1 battles. We weren’t good. They were really good.”-Boston coach Jim Montgomery said.
