The Penguins were close to making trouble for themselves after letting in three goals following a 3-0 lead. The Minnesota Wild proved they never give up. The Penguins still won 4-3.Sidney Crosby was one of the best individuals with one goal and one assist. He is happy with the victory but thinks that his team should have done better after the 3-0 lead.

“Getting the lead, not having to chase the game, that’s an important part. It would’ve been nice to put it away a little bit and not allow them to come back. … We’ll just try to keep building here.”- Crosby said, as reported by NHL!

Mike Sullivan reacts

Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan can be satisfied with his team's victory, even though things could have gone in the wrong direction. Sullivan wants his team to understand the importance of playing for Pittsburgh. He placed special emphasis on team spirit and unity. The most important thing is that Sullivan believes in his team and believes that they are destined for great things.

“I wouldn’t say there were a lot of conversations (after the loss Saturday). There were a couple of candid ones. We’re in this thing together, the coaches and the players. There’s a partnership there. We’ve got to figure it out. We’ve got to do our job as a coaching staff to bring some solutions to the table.

We’re trying to put the players in position to be successful. We’re trying to give them a real good understanding of what Penguins hockey looks like. When we play it, we can be a real competitive team.”-Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan said.

Minnesota coach John Hynes can be satisfied with the fighting spirit and persistence of his team. Even though it seemed like they could turn things around completely, they just didn't have the strength to pull it off. Hynes noticed many positive things from this duel.

“There are games and times where you have to be able to come from behind. I thought we clawed our way back into the game. … There are games where they're tied, sometimes you have a lead, sometimes you've got to come from behind. I thought there were a lot of positives from that.”-Minnesota coach John Hynes said.
