Joseph Woll set to be sidelined following an apparent leg injury during the third period of a 4-3 win against the Ottawa Senators. Toronto coach Sheldon Keefe was especially disappointed, given that Woll played great and his form was on the rise.

This will be a big blow for his team, but it is necessary to accept things as they are. “It’s unfortunate, right?” -Sheldon Keefe said, as quoted by NHL.com! “He’s been playing so well. He was building such great momentum here on his season and his career.

It’s a setback here now”. Maple Leafs forward Mitchell Marner is sad for his teammate, especially considering that he has been at a high level for a long time. Many hope that Woll will return soon. He is a key player of his team!

“It’s brutal,” -Mitchell Marner said. “You don’t wish that upon anyone. So, hopefully when news comes back it’s somewhat positive. But like I just spoke on, a couple massive saves from [Woll] tonight and he’s been doing it all year for us”.

Morgan Rielly reacts

Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly emphasized how fortunate it is to have such a crucial young player on the team. Young Woll demonstrated this season that nothing but the best can be expected from him “He was outstanding obviously tonight,” -Morgan Rielly said.

“He’s been great every time he’s been in the net for us. So, when you’ve got a young guy like that who’s confident and playing as well as he is, that’s a good sign for our team”. Martin Jones is saddened by what happened.

However, he wanted to forget about it as soon as possible and focus on the match. “It was tough to watch, obviously,” Jones said. “You don’t want to see that. Just tried to get my head in the game and get ready to go”.
