On Thursday, the Calgary Flames traded Nikita Zadorov to the Vancouver Canucks. Canucks coach Rick Tocchet is excited to have such a player on his team. The fact is that they need more players in order to keep up the pace throughout the season.
Tocchet had only words of praise for Nikita Zadorov. “We’re really excited,” Canucks coach Rick Tocchet said, as quoted by NHL.com! “He’s a big guy, he can skate and he can shoot. We talked to him today an hour before the game, [he’s] really excited to come here.
Our environment can really help him." Individuals within a team cannot carry the team through the entire season. It is necessary for them to engage several players in order to achieve their goals. “We need minutes. We’re playing some other guys too much, and you can tell it’s starting to wear on our defense and he’s a much needed guy”.
Vancouver general manager Patrik Allvin is also happy that his team will get such a great player. He will be a reinforcement for the Vancouver Canucks. “Nikita is a big, strong and mobile two-way defenseman who will bring more physicality to our backend,” -Patrik Allvin said.
“We really like his size and reach and his addition to our blue line gives us more depth and better options moving forward”. Calgary defenseman Noah Hanifin is happy that he had the opportunity to play with Zadorov.
It will be unusual for him to play against him, but he is looking forward to the period they spent together.
"It was great playing with him for a couple of years. He's a great guy. I wish him nothing but the best moving forward.
It'll be pretty funny playing against him on Saturday. I wish him the best. "-Noah Hanifin said.
