The Seattle Kraken achieved a convincing 7-1 victory vs the San Jose Sharks. Seattle coach Dave Hakstol had reason to be delighted after his team showed character when it was needed the most. From the very start, they started offensively and with clear intentions!

"We were ready to go at the drop of the puck,” -Dave Hakstol said, as quoted by! “We came out, we scored early, but just the way we played from the drop of the puck, I thought, really, it put the momentum where we needed it to be." San Jose coach David Quinn believes that his team's performance is embarrassing.

They did not show for a single moment that they wanted to win. The opposing team looked absolutely dominant. Quinn is aware that he has to make some changes. “That was embarrassing,” -David Quinn said. “We weren’t ready to play.

Two breakaways in the first minute and a half, just absolutely embarrassing. We lost every single battle, got beat off the walls, and every time there was a 50-50 puck battle, we were fishing for pucks and got on the wrong side of it”.

Brandon Tanev

Brandon Tanev was one of the standout players in the match, helping his team secure a 1-0 lead. “Every game, [Tanev] brings intensity, brings pace. It was nice to see him be able to finish tonight. He’s had some good opportunities”.

- Hakstol said. Sharks forward Anthony Duclair shared his opinion with his coach. He confirmed that this is embarrassing. Already at the beginning of the match, it was clear that his team could experience a debacle. “We just can’t start a game like that in the NHL,” -Anthony Duclair said.

“You’re going to get embarrassed. We’ve been embarrassed before this season, but nothing like that in the first period. That was just unacceptable”.
