The Boston Bruins maintained their position atop the Eastern Conference with a 3-1 victory over the Florida Panthers in their latest NHL derby match. The Bruins dominated the first two periods, with Coyle scoring in the first and Beecher and DeBrusk adding goals in the second to give them a 2-1 lead.

The Panthers managed to equalize in the second, but the Bruins proved too strong and held on for the win. The next game for the Boston Bruins is against the Detroit Red Wings on November 24.

Golden Knights win with two Eishel goals

In another key Western Conference derby, the Vegas Golden Knights edged out the Dallas Stars in overtime, 2-1.

The game was a tight affair, with both teams playing solid defense. The Golden Knights struck first with a goal from Eishel in the opening period, but the Stars responded with a goal of their own in the second period to tie the game.

The deadlock remained unbroken through regulation and into overtime, where Eishel scored his second goal of the night to give the Golden Knights the victory. The next game for the Vegas Golden Knights is against the Arizona Coyotes on November 26.

The only goal in the third period brought victory to the Blues

The St. Louis Blues also emerged victorious from an exciting contest, defeating the Arizona Coyotes 6-5. The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading goals throughout the night.

After a tie after regulation and an efficient first two thirds, the only goal in the third was ruled by Brandon Heise, giving the Blues the hard-fought win.

Other results of the NHL night

In other notable NHL matchups, the Seattle Kraken cruised to a convincing 7-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

In that match, the dilemmas were resolved in the first period, when Tanev, Bjorkstrand, Larson and Gurd scored in turn. The Detroit Red Wings shut out the New Jersey Devils 4-0. The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 7-3, the Colorado Avalanche edged out the Vancouver Canucks 5-2, and the Carolina Hurricanes topped the Edmonton Oilers 6-3.
