The Winnipeg Jets defeated the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 on Friday night. Cole Perfetti continued his impressive goal-scoring streak, extending it to five games, and helped his team achieve victory. In an interview with the media after the game, Perfetti revealed that he has changed his focus and is now playing with more confidence.

“I put an emphasis a bit more on shooting the puck,” Perfetti said, as quoted by NHL. “The puck is definitely going in the back of the net for our line and it’s working. So, we just have to keep doing what we’re doing and creating chances”.

Winnipeg interim coach Scott Arniel had only words of praise for Connor Hellebuyck, who was one of the team's heroes. Hellebuyck showed that the team can count on him when he is most needed. “When you’re having an off night like that, we certainly didn’t have a whole lot of run support for [Hellebuyck], but he was there when we needed him,” -Scott Arniel said.

Don Granato

Buffalo coach Don Granato was satisfied with the third period. Although he is aware that his team could have done much more, he is happy that his players showed courage and did not think about giving up.
"The third period, I will say for me, was the culmination of everything to this point of the year, and our guys finally decided to wake up and compete harder instead of waiting,” -Don Granato said.

“I like the way they responded”. Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers is a player from whom a lot is expected. “After our 2-0 goal, we obviously want to keep the momentum going,” Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers said. “I think we've let in a few goals after being up 2-0, right after the goal. We want to try and get away from that obviously and get a bigger lead”.
