Tim Stützle showcased his skills on the ice, contributing with a goal and three assists as the Ottawa Senators orchestrated a remarkable comeback against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Senators solved the match with three consecutive goals in a mere 3 minutes and 11 seconds during the third period, ultimately securing a 6-3 victory at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday.

Stutzle was in prime playing form, wanting to help his team achieve the desired outcome. “I felt like I wanted the puck tonight and I thought our whole line (with Mathieu Joseph and Claude Giroux) was going,” Stutzle said.

“We were having the puck the whole game, creating chances and staying on pucks”.

William Nylander reacts

Maple Leafs forward William Nylander noticed many positive things in his team's game. Although it is clear that they lack experience and coordination, Nylander has no doubts that as the season goes on, things will get better.

“We battled pretty good there and got a tough bounce on the PK and then kind of lost it,”- William Nylander said. “But I think we are facing adversity early and I think it’s good for us. We need to grow and build, we’ve got a lot of new guys here, so build the team together and build around that”.

Stutzle is one of those players who hates to lose. Although his team is feeling immense pressure, Stutzle believes that with last night's victory, his team showed that they have the capacity for great things. “It’s always hard, you always want to win,” Stutzle said.

“I hate losing. I think the whole group does, everybody in that room knows we are all about winning hockey games. There’s a lot of noise around us, but I think we showed tonight that we can win hockey games. I think we played great.

Great effort tonight. Korpisalo was great and kept us in the game the whole time”. Source: NHL
