Connor Bedard is a player from whom there are great expectations this season, even though he will make his debut in the NHL. Bedard is preparing for what comes next, and the great Connor McDavid is a great help to him. "He says a lot of good stuff and he's obviously one of, if not the best player in the world.

That's someone I've been able to be a sponge with and ask some questions."- he said, as quoted by NHL! Bedard did not want to openly say what he worked on the most, but it is obvious that he gave his best during the preparations, and he plans to do so in the future.

He is aware that the biggest challenge in his career awaits him. This is an opportunity he must take advantage of. "Nothing crazy specific I'll say, but there are definitely some things he said on what to expect and everything.

Obviously it's not an easy League. It's the best League in the world. But I think it's just preparing yourself the best you can, and I feel I've done that this summer. I've worked really hard and tried to improve myself every day.

That's all you can really do leading up to camp."

McDavid's advice

Reporters were interested in whether McDavid spoke to him about managing expectations. However, this young NHL player is not too worried about certain things.

The biggest focus is to progress, to show what potential he has, and everything else will come after that. "I don't know. For myself and him as well, we both just love the game so much and I think if you're worried about what other people are saying and what you guys write about me or whatever, I'm trying to pursue a dream and I think obviously there's pressure from the outside.

I want to do well. I'm hard on myself and expect a lot from myself. But I think pressure goes away when you're just doing what you love and hoping to be playing in the League I've dreamed of playing for 18 years now. So I wouldn't think of outside noise too much."
