Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has said the Rams would absolutely love to agree on a new deal with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. After Beckham cleared vaiwers following his release from the Cleveland Browns, he signed with the Rams.
Beckham put up good numbers in the regular season and he played a big part in the Rams' run to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, Beckham sustained a torn ACL injury in the Super Bowl and he may miss the entire next season.
"We definitely want to be able to get Odell back," McVay said during an appearance on Sirius XM's Mad Dog Sports Radio. "I also know that there's gonna be some other teams that probably want his services, but hopefully we'll be able to convince him to come back and be a part of this thing."
The Rams absolutely love what Beckham brings to the team
"Odell is somebody that we want to continue to work with," McVay said. "I can't say enough about him as a teammate, as a person. I really love him, cherish our relationship that we were able to establish and develop, and I'm hopeful that there will be many more years to come with us working together."
Beckham had 52 receiving yards and a touchdown before going down with an injury in the Super Bowl. In an Instagram post, Beckham said he was never more determined to put up a big performance. "Man man man. Where do I even begin? This is as real as it gets.
This last week has been one that I truly could never forget. I had never been more prepared and focused for a game in my life, I was ready to go nuclear and perform at the highest level that I ever had in my career. I knew it and I felt it in my soul, I was in my biggggest bag n nothin was goin to stop me.
I reallly mean that!! I was ON. Motivated, determined, and eyes set on a goal that I promised to myself and this team from the moment I decided to be an LA Ram. Safe to say those were my plans and not Gods. I kno there’s purpose in all of this and it may seem that this journey has come to an end but it’s really just a door opening to a new beginning. Starting it off, as a WORLD CHAMPION," Beckham wrote on Instagram.
