Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield insists that the Josh Allen deal is good for the quarterback position overall. Last week, the Buffalo Bills and Allen agreed to a six-year extension worth up to $288 million. Allen now has more guaranteed money that any other quarterback in the league.
Allen became the first quarterback taken in the firsr round of the 2018 NFL draft to get an extension. In the 2018 NFL draft, the Browns took Mayfield at No. 1. "Like I said, I am worried about winning,” Mayfield said, via Cleveland.com.
“I think the rest will take care of itself. Yeah, it is good for the quarterback position overall. I would be lying if I said otherwise. I am worried about winning right now. I do not know the timeline on it. We have not talked about it because I am worried about winning this season”.

Last season, the Browns suffered a major loss when wide receiver Odell Beckham suffered a season-ending torn ACL injury. "It's just something that feels special about this team," Beckham said recently during his youth football camp in the Cleveland area.
Beckham is hoping the Browns will contend for the Super Bowl this season. "I think there's something special going on and something special with this city. "Cleveland needs a championship. And I think that's the goal and mentality in that building.
And that's what I want to be a part of." Beckham was disappointed after the Browns lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round. "I watched them compete last year and it was like the one game that hurt me the most was watching Kansas City," Beckham said of the Browns, who return every key player offensively.
"Feeling like, man, I know I could've made one play -- just something to help the team." Beckham underlined that he would not be rushing his comeback. "At this point, we're just running our race," he said. "I feel like in the past, I've been caught up in this question.
I'm not really here for it anymore. "Whenever I'm ready to get out on the field, that's when it will be. Whenever the team, the docs, my team, gets cleared, we'll be ready to go. Whenever that is, Week 1, Week 17, I don't know. Whenever we're ready, we'll be ready."
