Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has provided a great update on Odell Beckham Jr, revealing the star wide receiver has "exceeded" his expectations so far. Beckham, 30, signed with the Ravens this offseason and he is set to play for the first time since suffering a torn ACL injury during the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl win in 2022 February.
A year and a half has gone since Beckham last played in an NFL match but the Ravens claim to be very happy with what they have been seeing from the three-time Pro Bowler in practice. “He's been great. I would say he's probably exceeded my expectations to this point," DeCosta said of Beckham.

DeCosta praises Beckham's condition
"His body is in very good shape. He takes care of his body. He worked extremely hard this offseason. His attitude is awesome. He’s a leader.
He’s a first-in-line guy. He’s a do-the-right-thing guy. He’s just been great. I just really don’t know how to explain it. So, I have two boys at [The] Gilman [School], and just before camp started, there was a football camp that Odell [Beckham Jr.] had at Gilman.
And to see the entire community … it seemed that there were thousands of boys and girls there. To see that impact in a very short span of time [and] to see that impact he’s had on this community, it’s a powerful thing, and we’re excited about that," DeCosta said of Beckham.
When free agency started, Beckham was widely expected to sign with the New York Jets. But then, Beckham decided to sign with the Ravens. Last month, Beckham said he feels the Ravens have the talent and ability to "be a very explosive offense" in 2023. "I think that this will be a very explosive offense.
It’s an explosive team, as well. But specifically with the offense, I think that’s the goal, is to be explosive," Beckham said last month.
