Dalvin Cook believes the New York Jets' chances of winning the Super Bowl this coming season are "very realistic." In the spring, the Jets accomplished their biggest offseason goal when they landed Aaron Rodgers. After Rodgers agreed to come to the Jets, several other notable and proven names followed the star quarterback to New York.
Cook, who has been considered among the best running backs in recent years, also agreed to sign with the Jets in mid-August. The Jets haven't won a Super Bowl since 1969 and they are entering 2023 determined to end their Super Bowl drought.
“I think it’s very realistic. Obviously you look at the roster, you look at the people we’ve added and the things that we already had, just combining that in one, and I think it’s something to be excited about.
We just gotta go out there and do our part. That’s why I came, that’s why I’m here, to help any way I can to get to where we need to go, and that’s holding up the trophy, and that’s what we’re trying to do," Cook said, via The New York Post.
Cook ready for the 2023 season
In Week 1, the Jets will be hosting the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. “I feel like I haven’t played football in forever so I’m excited. I’m ready to go play.
I know it’s gonna be an electrifying game so I’m ready. I’m ready. It’s ‘Monday Night Football’, so let’s do it," Cook said. This offseason, Cook wanted to pair up with Rodgers and the star quarterback also wanted the running back to join the Jets. “Everybody looks at the game differently, just the way he views the game.
It’s just different in his eyes. He’s smart, obviously, he won’t be playing this long and being so successful if he’s learning. And I think that’s why the confidence is there for us to go win it," Cook said of Rodgers.
