Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill has made a very confident prediction for the 2023 season, claiming he is going to reach the 2,000-receiving yards and win the Super Bowl. Hill, 29, is widely considered one of the best wideouts in the game and he has five All-Pro selections.
But no player has ever had 2,000 receiving yards in a single season. Last season, Hill posted a career-high 1,710 receiving yards. “I will break 2,000 yards next year. 2,000 yards was on my bucket list to get before I leave this league.
You all think Cheetah gonna leave without doing something he promised himself he was going to do as a kid? 2,000 yards and another Super Bowl. We’re getting that. Believe that," Hill said on his podcast, via Pro Football Talk.
How Hill plans to accomplish the unique feat?
For quite some time, Hill has been speaking about his desire to become the first player with 2,000 receiving yards in a single season. In June, Hill explained what needs to happen for him to accomplish his goal.
"For me, not getting injured, coming in each and every day wanting to get better, wanting to be coached. And I feel like I've got the right tools around me. I've got obviously the most accurate quarterback in the NFL, I've got one of the best head coaches in the NFL, and also my position coach is a monster also.
So just having those three things and me just keeping the same mindset each and every day that I want to get better and I want to break the record, and I do want to break the record. So I feel like this is one of those years that I can achieve it," Hill explained in June. It remains to be seen if Hill can indeed make history during the 2023 NFL season.
