Joe Burrow gives his take on if Patrick Mahomes is the best QB in NFL

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow says Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes is undoubtedly still the best quarterback in the league. Last season, there were times when some were wondering whether Burrow should be considered the best quarterback in the league ahead of Mahomes.

But in the playoffs, Mahomes got the better of Burrow and those talks have cooled off since. "I don't think there's any argument right now. It's Pat [Mahomes]. Until somebody has a better year than he's had, he's the one to knock off," Burrow said, via CBS Sports.

Earlier this offseason, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen also declared Mahomes as the best quarterback in the league. "Until me or [Burrow] or anybody else can win a Super Bowl, I think Pat's kind of the clear No. 1 right now.

He's been playing at such a high level for so long and he's got the rings to prove it," Allen said earlier this offseason.

Mahomes, Burrow had a classy exchange

After the Chiefs outlasted the Bengals 23-20 in an AFC Championship Game thriller, the cameras caught a very classy exchange between Mahomes and Burrow.

"Many more, dog, many more. Hell of a game. You have a hell of a career dog," Mahomes told Burrow after the game. Burrow responded to Mahomes: "You too, brother. Go win it now." Leading up to the Bengals and Chiefs game, there was a lot of trash talk from both sides.

But after the game was over, Burrow highlighted it was all fun and love between the two teams. “I just think that’s what makes football fun. It’s all love at the end of the day. They know the respect that we have for them and we know the respect that they have for us.

It’s an intense, emotional game and things like that are going to happen but I think that’s why the game is fun,” Burrow said after the game. Burrow had a 3-0 record against Mahomes before the Bengals lost to the Chiefs in the playoffs.
