Watch: Shannon Sharpe rips Aaron Rodgers over his comments about Packers exit

Shannon Sharpe blasted Aaron Rodgers' attitude after the star quarterback's latest comments on his exit from the Green Bay Packers. Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that some within the Packers organization weren't thrilled with the commitment and efforts Rodgers showed during last year's OTAs.

"When I’m in, I’m all-in, and you wanna ride with offseason workouts? I won MVP without doing off-season workouts. Like, was my commitment any less then? I think that’s just a cop-out written to try and find something to disparage me about that, honestly, when you know what offseason workouts are really about, it’s completely ridiculous," Rodgers said in a response to the report.

"This is the Aaron Rodgers we know. He speaks a lot of 'I.' 'I' won the MVP... I've never heard Tom Brady mention that he's won an MVP," Sharpe said on FS1's Undisputed.

After being named the NFL MVP in 2011 and 2014, Rodgers also won back-to-back NFL MVP awards in 2020 and 2021.

Rodgers put up major numbers in 2020 and 2021 but it didn't result in the Packers winning a Super Bowl. This offseason, Rodgers left the Packers after 18 seasons. Now, Rodgers is on a mission to lead the New York Jets to their first Super Bowl win since 1969.

The Jets are absolutely thrilled about having Rodgers and it is not a secret that they have set their eyes on winning the Super Bowl in 2023. "My opinion, I think 32 teams -- 32 coaches -- stand in front of their teams every year and talk about winning a championship, and then realistically, there's maybe six or eight teams that have an actual chance to do it.

And I do think we are one of those teams. But none of it matters unless we take care of (business) today," Jets head coach Robert Saleh said in late May.
