Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy wasn't interested in saying too much about the Aaron Rodgers trade situation. On March 15th, Rodgers revealed his intention was to continue his career with the New York Jets. But the Packers have yet to trade Rodgers to the Jets even though they have made the call to move on from the former NFL MVP.

“That’s something [Packers general manager] Brian [Gutekunst] is working on,” Murphy said, via The New York Post. When asked to reveal which side had to pull the trigger on a potential deal, Murphy didn't want to say too much.

"I can’t really get into that. I know Brian and Joe have been talking. I do anticipate questions [during the tour], and I anticipate saying that there is no update. It is interesting 15 years ago [there was a] similar situation," Murphy said.

When could Rodgers land with the Jets?

Last week, ESPN's NFL insider Jeremy Fowler provided a strong update on the Rodgers trade situation, reporting that the Jets and Packers have worked out "a lot of this deal." Also, Fowler reported the trade could go down during the upcoming NFL draft.

"A lot of this deal, I'm told, remains pretty much done. They're close, just they have some of those draft compensation considerations that they have to shake out. Most people I talked to around the league believe closer to the draft, maybe even on day one, when teams are getting on the clock pretty soon that this will shake out.

But I'm told the Jets have been planning with their draft prep to have their No. 13 overall pick. That's not a major consideration to have to give up to the Packers in a trade," Fowler said on SportsCenter. A couple of days, Jets general manager Joe Douglas said that Rodgers "is gonna be here."
