ESPN's NFL insider Dianna Russini is reporting that Odell Beckham Jr. is waiting to see if Aaron Rodgers will indeed finish with the New York Jets. In mid-March, Rodgers revealed his intention to play for the Jets. But the Jets and Green Bay Packers haven't yet agreed on a trade package for Rodgers.

The Jets also want to sign Beckham and the reports indicate that the interest is mutual between the two sides. "Obviously, the thought process in New York is Aaron Rodgers is going to be the quarterback, that is how they are operating, but Odell is weighing the options and of course, looking for the most money he can possibly get," Russini said on ESPN's Get Up.

The Jets are 'the front-runners' to sign Beckham

Earlier this offseason, it was reported that Beckham was seeking $20 million per year on his deal. In the most recent report, Rick Cimini of ESPN reported that Beckham was looking to get a one-year, $15 million deal.

Also, Cimini said the Jets were the front-runners to sign Beckham. "Jets officials weren't shy about expressing their interest in free agent Odell Beckham Jr., who generated a lot of publicity by milling around the hotel grounds with his agent.

Beckham is thought to be seeking a one-year deal for $15 million, which is pricey for a 30-year-old receiver coming off his second ACL surgery. A deal in the $10 million to $12 million range seems more likely, with a chance to earn more with incentives.

The Jets are said to be the front-runners," Cimini wrote for ESPN. Beckham started his career in New York as he played for the Giants for a couple of seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Browns. Beckham loves playing in New York so his interest in signing with the Jets should not be a surprise at all. It remains to be seen if Beckham will indeed continue his career in New York.
