Chiefs reportedly to play Bears in Munich as part of NFL International Games series

The Kansas City Chiefs will reportedly be facing the Chicago Bears in Munich this year, per David Kaplan of ESPN-1000 in Chicago. In 2022, the first-ever NFL game in Munich took place as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Seattle Seahawks.

Since the first-ever game in Munich was a huge success, the NFL decided to bring two games to Germany in 2023. Even before the 2022 season finished, it was revealed that the Chiefs would play in Munich this year. Now, the Chiefs' rival in Munich also appears to be revealed.

In May, the NFL should announce the other game in Munich that will be taking place in 2023.

NFL fans in Germany will have a chance to watch Patrick Mahomes

The Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions and Mahomes is widely considered the best quarterback in the game.

Later this year, NFL fans in Germany will have a chance to watch Mahomes. After a rough end to their 2021 playoffs run, Mahomes promised he would do better in 2022. Following the Chiefs' Super Bowl win this past February, Mahomes admitted his second Super Bowl win was sweeter.

“The first Super Bowl I thought was — obviously, I didn’t win it the first year that I started. But the first Super Bowl was kind of like, ‘This is amazing. We won the Super Bowl.’ Just happy, just like a little kid winning a prize at the fair.

Whereas this one, you’ve dealt with failure. You understand how hard it is to get back on this stage and win this game. I mean, I played in a Super Bowl where I got blown out. Got all hyped up and then you go out there and you don’t do anything.

And then I lose in the AFC Championship Game in overtime when I thought we had a chance to win the Super Bowl that year. And to have a full, brand-new team and have to go through the strain of being better and better every single day, it gives you a greater appreciation for winning this game," Mahomes said
