Tom Brady shuts down rumors of him returning to NFL again

Tom Brady has seemingly shut down the rumors of him un-retiring again and returning to the NFL. On February 1st, Brady announced his second retirement from football and said this time he was "retired for good." But during last week's NFL combine, NFL insider Rich Eisen said he heard league executive speaking about the possibility of Brady returning to the NFL.

The Eisen report quickly spread and Brady reacted through his Twitter account. "Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter," Brady tweeted.

What did Eisen hear about Brady?

In the past, Brady was linked to the Miami Dolphins but nothing happened. Now, Eisen says league executive are again mentioning the Dolphins as the team where Brady could sign.

“This one just blew my mind: Tom Brady might not be done after all. A couple people were just like, ‘Hang on, just you wait.’ And I was like, ‘He’s Instagramming out pictures of his cat.’ But it doesn’t look like he’s getting big and fat, does it? And just let it play out and see who wants what.

The one place that folks are saying to keep an eye out for is Miami. If the Dolphins, somehow or some way get a doctor’s report, a piece of information from a medical evaluation of Tua [Tagovailoa] that he may not be ready to go, and suddenly there’s Tom Brady sitting in Florida, where his family is located and where he can easily locate himself.

Keep an eye on that, I was told by a couple birdies at the combine. How’s that for a top 5 list?” Eisen said. On February 1st, 2022, Brady announced his first retirement from football. 40 days later, Brady announced he was returning to football. It remains to be seen if Brady will indeed make a stunning return to the NFL once again.
