NFL insider reveals chatter from combine: Tom Brady might not be done after all

NFL insider Rich Eisen revealed that during the NFL combine he heard the executives talking about a potential Tom Brady return. Brady, 45, announced his second retirement from pro football on February 1st. In his second retirement announcement, Brady said he was "retired for good this time." But not everybody seems to be buying Brady's claims.

“This one just blew my mind: Tom Brady might not be done after all. A couple people were just like, ‘Hang on, just you wait.’ And I was like, ‘He’s Instagramming out pictures of his cat.’ But it doesn’t look like he’s getting big and fat, does it? And just let it play out and see who wants what," Eisen said, per Sports Illustrated.

Brady to the Miami Dolphins?

Eisen also mentioned that he heard the Dolphins were the team to watch out. “The one place that folks are saying to keep an eye out for is Miami. If the Dolphins, somehow or some way get a doctor’s report, a piece of information from a medical evaluation of Tua [Tagovailoa] that he may not be ready to go, and suddenly there’s Tom Brady sitting in Florida, where his family is located and where he can easily locate himself.

Keep an eye on that, I was told by a couple birdies at the combine. How’s that for a top 5 list?” Eisen said. After Brady announced his first retirement from football last February, there were reports indicating that the quarterback could come out of retirement and join the Dolphins.

But after some things were leaked about the Dolphins and Brady, those plans fell apart and Brady ultimately returned to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, there are again rumors suggesting that Brady could potentially join the Dolphins.

This past season, Dolphins starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered multiple concussions. It remains to be seen if Brady will indeed come out of retirement and join the Dolphins.
